The 2023 Andrew Kirby Prize for Research Excellence

A Ph.D. in the fields of sciences and mathematics is eligible for the Andrew Kirby Award for Research Excellence in 2023. Applying for this scholarship is available here. Your application must be submitted by a deadline that varies. This scholarship is offered by the University of Melbourne and is for Partial Funding, up to $2,000 in total. This scholarship is available to All citizens.

This scholarship is given to a recent doctoral student in the School of Chemistry who has completed research in a field of study related to chemistry during the previous academic year as part of a Bachelor of Science (Honors), Master of Science (Chemistry), Post Graduate Diploma in Science (Chemistry), or Master of Philosophy Science degree (Chemistry).

Eligibility Criteria for Andrew Kirby Prize

• The applicant must be an accepted School of Chemistry doctoral candidate in science.
• Candidate must have finished a sizable research project in a field of chemistry in the preceding year of one of the University of Melbourne programs listed below:
  • a Master of Science in Science (Chemistry), 
  • a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemistry, 
  • a Post Graduate Diploma in Science (Chemistry), or 
  • a Master of Philosophy in Science (Chemistry).

Notice: This award cannot be held concurrently with the Dixson Research Scholarship or the Professor Kernot Research Scholarship in Chemistry.
