Organ Scholarship for Dr. John Birch 2023

Dr. John Birch Music Scholarship (Organ) 2023 is available for music majors pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Applying for this scholarship is available here. Your application must be submitted before October 1, 2023. The University of Sussex is the provider of this scholarship, which has a Partial Funding value of £800. This scholarship is available to All citizens.

In memory of the adored former music educator and organist Dr. John Birch, a music scholarship is presented (1929-2012). These scholarships are intended to help gifted musicians continue to grow and perform while enrolled in Sussex. No matter if they are studying music or not, all current undergraduate and graduate students at Sussex are eligible for this grant. Since being involved in the musical life of the Sussex campus is a requirement of the award, applicants should submit their applications as soon as possible.

Eligibility Criteria for Dr. John Birch Scholarships

• Applicant must have obtained Grade 8 or equivalent in organ playing.
• Candidate must be an applicant or current student at the University of Sussex.

Value of this Scholarship

The scholarship is worth £800, paid in two installments of £400. In addition, scholars will receive access to the Media Film and Music (MFM) practice rooms.
