Brazil established the granting of a temporary visa and residence permit for the purpose of humanitarian reception for Afghan nationals, stateless persons, and people affected by a situation of serious or impending institutional instability, serious human rights violation, or international humanitarian law in Afghanistan through interministerial decree number 24, dated September 3, 2021.
This visa may now be obtained via the Brazilian embassies in Moscow, Tehran, Abu Dhabi, Ankara, Doha, and Islamabad.
It should be underlined that persons for whom the visa is intended are actually in danger as a result of recent political developments in Afghanistan.
Those who wish to apply for a visa in Tehran should visit the Embassy (by appointment only) with the required paperwork:
The online form must be used to digitally submit any necessary papers. The candidate must print the electronic receipt after fully completing the online form, sign it, and attach a 3×4 picture.
At the time of the interview at the Brazilian Embassy, the citizen must have a reservation for an airline ticket to Brazil in order to get this visa.
It should be mentioned that the candidate will be responsible for paying for all forms of support in Brazil.
It is still preferable, but not necessary, for the citizen to already be in contact with a local Brazilian who can meet him and greet him when he arrives.
Only 50 interviews for the humanitarian visa can be conducted daily at the Brazilian embassy in Tehran. Applicants must have an appointment in advance before coming to the embassy.
To schedule an appointment, the candidate must send an email to vistos.teera@itamaraty.gov.br with the subject APPOINTMENT and his full name.
Do not attach documents to this email. An appointment request will not be considered.
Applicants should bring the following documents with them and contact the embassy’s consular service section.
Valid travel documents are required.
Reservation of a flight ticket using an electronic application form that has been completed.
The humanitarian visa does not require any Fee.
