Eligibility Criteria

Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Be an international student
  • Graduates or those who will graduate at the end of the current academic year
  • Be academic

  • Be good in required languages

Selection Procedure

The application for Turkey Scholarships will be evaluated by the selection committee based on the candidate’s academic achievement, motivation, and social activities connected to the selected area. They will complete the following procedures:

Preliminary Evaluation: Applications must fulfill the fundamental requirements, which include minimum academic attainment, age limitations, and relevant documentation.

Expert Evaluation: The Expert Committee will evaluate qualified individuals’ applications based on a variety of factors, including academic standing, academic interests, professional aspirations, previous credentials, consistency of preferences, involvement in social activities, and letter of intent content. Successful candidates will be invited to an interview.

Tests: Prior to the interview, applicants will complete a 30-question quantitative exam. The Presidential Delegations administer assessments to undergraduate applicants that include geometry, mathematics, and logic problems.

Interview: Candidates for the final list will be chosen by interview committees comprised of academics and specialists. The interview will typically last 15-30 minutes and will follow the following format:

  1. Welcome and entrance;
  2. Documents check;
  3. Purpose of the Candidate’s application;
  4. Career goals and academic knowledge;
  5. Closing and questions of the Candidate to the committee

Final Evaluation: The selection committee will review the outcomes of the interviews and compile a list of applicants who will be awarded scholarships. The selection committee will analyze the Candidate’s general eligibility for Turkey Scholarships at this last evaluation step.
